Refer a Friend Program

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to outline how we intend to reward our DQA team members and external people for their commitment and contribution to the expansion of our network and recruitment capability through the implementation of our DQA Refer a Friend Program.

Background

At DQA, we believe that good people know good people and we know that we get our best recruitment results when our people refer people to us. The DQA Refer a Friend Program has been developed to reward our employees, clients and external network for doing what they already do – recommending us to friends and family. The following sections outline how the program works and the relevant Terms and Conditions.

How the Refer a Friend Program Works

  • DQA will issue a gift card to any person (the Referrer) who refers a friend who is then subsequently employed or engaged to work with DQA.

  • The gift card will be earned and issued following the friend’s first day of work with DQA.

  • The incentive will be managed and promoted by DQA’s Talent Acquisition Lead who will have full discretion to determine eligibility and arrange to issue the gift card to the Referrer, according to the terms and conditions below.

  • The referrer can reasonably select how they would like to receive the gift card (for example: Coles Group or Myer, Woolworths, Bunnings, JB Hi-Fi, or similar).

  • This incentive is not retrospective and will commence for new referrals received by the Talent Acquisition Lead from the 01 May 2022

Terms and Conditions

Referring someone to DQA through the DQA Refer a Friend Program is deemed to be acceptance of the following terms and conditions of the Program.

  • A qualified referral is considered to be any referral by DQA employees or any external referrer that:

    1. is not already on the DQA database and/or his/her information/profile/resume has not already been received by DQA by other means prior to the date of referral

    2. has been notified and has consented to their details being submitted to DQA for this scheme before the date of the referral [1]

    3. is assessed by DQA through our normal selection process to be a suitable person to work for us

    4. completes their first month of work as a permanent or completes their first month of work as a casual or contractor on an initial work order of more than one month duration.

  • If there is no immediate work at DQA for the referral (i.e., they cannot start or decide not to join DQA) but they meet all other conditions, the Referrer will be recorded against the referral’s record in DQA’s database and will remain eligible for the gift at a future time when the conditions above have been met.

  • Once all referral conditions have been met, the Referrer will receive a referral reward of a $500 gift card (internal DQA referrer) or a $250 gift card (external referrer).

  • Candidates can only be referred to DQA once. In the event that a candidate is referred to DQA more than once by the same referrer and/or by other referrers, only the first referrer will be eligible for a referral gift under this scheme. DQA reserves the right of judgement, and all decisions are final.

  • It is the Referrer's responsibility to contact the DQA Talent Acquisition Lead in order to claim their referral gift.

  • The gift card is for all referred roles (casual, contract and permanent).

  • The gift card gift detailed in this scheme is a net payment. DQA is responsible for any taxes, as required by law, arising from the provision of the referral bonus.

  • The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.

  • In the event that DQA is, for any reason, unable to procure the indicated gift, we reserve the right to substitute a gift of commensurate value subject to these same terms and conditions.

  • DQA accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the gift for reasons beyond its control.

  • The gift card value includes all taxes, fees and shipping.

  • DQA makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the gift. To the extent permitted by law, DQA is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to, direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with entry into the scheme or acceptance of the gift.

 

[1]  As DQA is subject to the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act, the referred person must be notified and have consented to their details being submitted to DQA for this scheme before the date of the referral. The Referrer will indemnify DQA for any loss or claim arising out of any failure by the Referrer to procure such consent.

Procedure

  • The Referrer notifies and secures their friend’s consent to submit their details to DQA under this Program.

  • The Referrer completes the Refer a Friend form through the DQA Navigator app in Teams or the DQA Website.

  • The referral will be assessed by the DQA Talent Acquisition Lead and discussed or confirmed with the Referrer by email.

  • If we expect there to be work available for the referral, the DQA Talent Acquisition Lead will complete the selection process and a role may be offered to the referral.

  • Upon confirmation that the referral has accepted the role and completed their first day of work with DQA and that all other eligibility conditions above have been met, the gift card will be sent to the Referrer by email.
